Out and About - September

We are out and about in the neighbourhood daily, connecting with awesome individuals, community organisations, clubs and businesses in the spaces they Live, Learn, Work and Play.

Here’s a snapshot of September.

Managers at Airport Oaks’ Rinnai NZ factory want to support the health and wellbeing of their staff. Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura have helped connect them with community health champion Buck Stowers who has begun a 7-week fitness programme in the workplace.

We are working with a range of Maori stakeholders and community members around how we can effectively tackle the fact that smoking has not changed for Maori women in our community. This past month we held our third workshop looking at all the factors that affect smoking behavior.
