There are a whole lot of ways that this can happen, and the critical part is who’s at the table making decisions about health and wellbeing – we reckon it should be you!

STEPS TO GETTING STARTED

1Sign up to start your journey to healthier places

Start your journey by signing up to be a Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura setting. One of our coaches will contact you about how we can work together. We’ll also be in touch about opportunities to have a say about what’s going on in your community.

2Design your healthy changes together

Work with one of our Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura coaches about your community wellbeing goals. Our team is also working across settings where the community work, learn and play, so we’ll also look for opportunities to connect with others who share your goals.

We are also working with those who have already led transformation in their communities and can get you together with like-minded champions.

3Put your plan into action

The Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura coaches will help you to get involved in creating a healthy community. We might work with you around campaigning for safer ways to walk and cycle in the community, or healthy food and drink policies for local events. It might be supporting local food suppliers to reach more people, or helping communities to influence the people who make decisions about their local environment.

Ultimately you are in control, and we are here to help you make it happen.
