In healthier environments, children and young people learn better. This means that our learning environments are key places to make changes to support better health and wellbeing.

Creating healthy habits early in life can also set children up with skills they can carry for life.

We’ve got 118 schools and over 230 early childhood education centres in our area so there are some massive gains that we can make to the system to promote health and wellbeing that lasts long after finishing school.

The Healthy Families Manukau, Manurewa-Papakura education settings team know what it’s like to learn in south Auckland. They studied here, have children who go to school locally and are members of the local communities. They share your passion for healthy learning.
